Behind The Scenes (BTS) - with Brett!

This is just a fun page with a mix of video and images for those who might be interested in seeing "behind" the photos here on the website. It's also a great way to see how I work and what it looks like during a wedding, family or couples photography session!

I've kept most of these under two minutes or less, to keep things short and sweet, but here and there I'll add a longer one for those who want to see a bit more of what goes on "behind-the-scenes" at a photo session.

Okay, so maybe I get just a little carried away and excited about getting a cool shot! :-) Sometimes it can take a few shots to get the perfect family splash shot with the kids at least facing the camera...they are often nervous about the waves and yet also mesmerized by them.

At our prearranged code word of "epic," Brandon drops in the middle of a group portrait to propose to his long time boyfriend, Jacob.

As a family photographer, it can be difficult getting young children's attention in a normal setting. But at the beach, in the waves? Almost impossible! So sometimes I have to resort to all kinds of silly things to get that perfect family photo.

A fun behind-the-scenes look at what it took to get that one perfect family beach jump shot. Sometimes it takes a few tries to get it right! Filmed with a GoPro mounted to the hot shoe of the camera.
